Knowledge is power is how the old sayings goes. That saying is something held near and dear to Pandora Hazel Lennox's heart. If you knew more than the other person, you could over come them. It wasn't by brute strength, it was by knowledge and wisdom. The small snake could easily beat the lion.
Maybe that is how all wars should be fought. Get a group of the smartest people in a country and that will be it's army. The battles would be a showcase of the country's brilliance. Who ever won the battle would win and at the end, the countries with the most battles won wins the war. Things would be a lot different than they were now.
Lives would be saved, families would be okay, no one would see the carnage of war. Economies would thrive and the world would be in better shape. People would be more concerned about their GPA than how much they can drink and how many bitches and hos they can knock up. If only others valued such things.
Besides, if knowledge holes more power than strength and the pen is mightier than the sword, Pandora's idea would work.
Walking down the dusty aisle of the library, Pandora wasn't sure what she would look up while she was there. Charms, maybe. Quidditch, quiet possibly. She knew she wanted something, she just wanted a book.
Bypassing herbology, Pandora walked toward the quidditch section. She didn't feel like learning a few charm today. She'd pick up one later.
Standing in the quidditch section, her eyes ran over the dusty books, reading the titles. Already reading at least thirty percent of the books in this section, Pandora was having trouble find a book. Sighing in annoyance, she grabbed one on the Pride of Portee, one she'd already read.
Walking to a table, Pandora wasn't paying attention to where she was walking.

Kids came in with books in there arms. Their were first years to seventh years. They came in a small crowds and they talked and had a little fun. Only they were told to be queit by the librarian, but they only laughed and went right back to laughing. Kids ruteuned books and took them only to be returning them hours later.
Lindsey came along by herself. In her robe pocket was a wand and in one hand was her charm book, She looked at the small hallways of books and then walked towards the charmed section. She scimmed the books and finally found one. She started to walked toward a table. Her two books in her hand and also a peice of paper and some pencils. She walked out from the hallways of books
She bumped into Pandora and dropped her books. She bent down and got them, her blonde wavy hair in her face and her blue eyes hidden. She got and looked at her with a smile on her face and a hint of embarrassment. "I am sorry I was not looking." She said and kept the sweet smile on her face. She looked up at the olde student
She then saw the Slytherin Badge. She could just hear the words of taunt and she could see her pushing her out of the way. No one was in the library and so they were alone. She then looked at her face. "I am Lindsey, What is your name"

Lost in thought, Pandora didn't notice when a girl ran into her. Her mind was on quidditch and the next thing she knew, she was getting ran into.
"Ow!" she said, though it didn't really hurt. It was an instant reaction to anything hitting her. Her book fell to the floor, a loud thud that echoed through the empty library. It's a good thing she wasn't very fond of that book or she would have gotten more mad than she did.
"What are you doing? Why aren't you watching where you're going?" Pandora said with anger in her voice. She saw she was a Gryffindor and blonde. "Are you too blonde? Do your eyes not work? Pay attention every now and then."
With annoyance, she bend down and scooped up her book in one graceful movement. She glared at the small girl and let her stand there in fear. She heard the girl ask for her name and if hers.
Lindsey. What a silly name, she thought out of spite.
"What's it to you?" she asked.

She looked at her, She showed no fear not many Gryffindors did. She looked at her with a small smiled and looked around. She then looked at the charm book. She looked back up and finally spoke
"Well, I was walking out of the shelf of books and I wanted to start on the charms, I am sorry, I just was not looking" She said sweetly, she was trying to make her understand. Then she heard her say blonde but it did not hurt. "I am blonde sometimes, I just don't us my eyes. " Her strong scottish accent spoke with a great sweetness.
She watched her scoop up her book and then I watched her. She then answered her next question. "Oh, I just wanted to be friendly, We are all witches and Wizards, what is the difference" She spoke like her grandmother, Her grandmother was very wise and that is where she got it from,
She looked at her, She saw people come in and only stood there, She did not care she was just going to be friendly, and she was going to be a good natured person. She only got mad when she was ill and that was only if you hurt her or her friends.

When the girl talked in such a sweet voice, Pandora mentally winced. Oh my goodness this girl is too happy, she thought. At least I'm not horrible about being nice and happy.
Shaking her head a little, she listened to Lindsey talk. Scottish. No wonder, she's not from England, things are different over there. They're all nice and polite. Though, something about this girl just made her want to rip her head off. True Slytherin thoughts were coming to her head, which Pandora tried to stay clear of thinking. Sometimes though, they just get the better of her.
"We're all just humans," Pandora said, simplifying Lindsey's sentence for her own sake.
They all might be humans but they're all not on the same level. Some are better than others, some are worse. No one is created equal, they just try to tell you that. They're all just humans, trying to be better than someone else because if you're not the best, you're not getting anywhere in life. The sad, cold, hard truth is they're all not the same.
Pandora thought the girl was naive but decided to humor her by being her nice ol' self as well, but for a different reason. She doesn't think everyone is equal, she just wants people to like her. Though, there are a few people she is genuine with.
"Pandora," she answered. "Pandora Hazel Lennox."

She had heard the saying people are equal but herself did not believe it. She then heard her say we were all humans and that was the truth. He head rushed to all sort of though of people she knew. She then looked at the book and place it on the table next to her. She looked back at Pandora.
"I like your name Pandora, It is better them mine..." She said with a bit of sadness, She had the name of someone from America, which were not that bad. Her mom was scottish but moved to America and had her, But she did not live long so Lindsey had moved to Scotland and live with her grandparents.
The thoughs came to her mine, She looked to her feet and then to Pandora, "Where are you from, And what kind of house did you live in, I can tell it had to be fancy" She loved to make conversations. She waited the answer patenitly. She shuffled her feet and touched her shoulder. She had a bad sore there from a charm gone wrong but it was getting better.
Lindsey watched more people come in and not payed any attiontion to them. She gave a little smile and nod of the head to say hello but payed as much attion to Pandora, She was the one Lindsey was talking to first. She looked at her with a friendly look and then looked at the table. "Want to set down, It get tiring to stand and in one place, normally I am working horses all day so I am doing stuff"
She started to mess with her blonde hair and moved it away from her blue eyes that looked around. She then saw something outside and though it was a horse but it wasn't it was something though, that was just a duh. Of course it was something. She looked back at Pandora. She hated standing in on place and stuff, Her legs were us to carring her place to place all day or setting on a horse. She had to keep moving her feet alittle

As Lindsey said she liked her name, Pandora instantly thought back to her night with Bryan and her moment of insecurity over her own name. It was such a unsteady name, she wasn't sure how anyone could like it over their own names especially when they clearly had solid names. Pandora smiled though, her way of saying, thank you.
"No, you're name is nice. It's a confident and you won't get funny looks for it," she said, her attempt to reassure the girl.
Nodding, Pandora set her book down at the nearest table and sat in her chair. Setting was comfortable. She hadn't had a conversation with anyone yet while they sat down. They were always doing things. It was nice for a change to relax and talk.
"I come from London," she started. Her thoughts were on her house now. "My house was very nice, though the only time I was really there was during the summer. I went to boarding school all my life. I was yellow and white, very big with white pillars by the front door."
She was starting to remember life at her house. What a brat she used to be. It's no wonder she was put into Slytherin. Pandora was a brat from the start, she just learned to be nice and ignore her bratty instincts. She'll never accept that she was put into Slytherin (mostly because of all the heckling she gets) but she understands why.
"The lawn was huge too. When I was there, I had lots of space to play. The backyard was a massive garden. We had hired people to help clean the house, take care of the garden, and everything like that. It was a fancy house."
Pandora knew she was lucky, knew was one of the few with such a good past. She was thankful for it everyday. Remembering her past put a thoughtful look on her face, one of peace and happiness. It was nice to remember such things when you have nice things to remember about your home.
Though, if she were to start thinking of boarding school, it might not be the same reaction.
"How about you?" she asked, meaning Lindsey could tell her about her home if she wished.

He watched as the black rim of his glasses glided down to the very tip of the nose. Gradually, Marcel pushed them back to where they rested, and continued down his path towards the Library. It had been some time since he got off the train to be sorted into his House. The house of Ravenclaw seemed to fit him quite well; sweet, patient, yet fearless and understanding. Ever since he had been a child, those were the exact characteristic that had made him the fighter for ones weaker, even if the bullying types too subdued him. Reddish-brown hair shifted atop his head, cocooning his head in its embrace.
No one joined him while walking through the halls. Sure, a few looked his direction, but no friendly faces met his own as he walked. As a 1st year at Hogwarts, it was usual that many didn’t know a young wizard; especially the type of young wizard who always had high marks and never missed a single class. They called him nerdy, weird, even a teacher’s pet, but nothing fazed him anymore. A smile on his face and his books in hand, Marcel Donehoo finally marched into the huge library, admiring the shelves that were stock to filled with books about every subject you could wrap your mind around. He was more of the mystical type, himself, or the stories of the muggle knights in shining armor of the olden days. As he walked past, his pale hand caressed the backs of the books, and his eyes twinkled with delight.
Ah, but very few had talked to him yet, besides administrators and herders pushing the newcomers about. Her name was Lindsey, and after they sat in opposite compartments on the train, Marcel had talked with her while waiting in the Great Hall. She was kind and very gentle, a lot like his sister Claudia who was much too young to accompany him. And even though so many people had shoved him and ignored him when words were spoken, Lindsey talked and laughed with him, making fond conversation. After two weeks had passed, they became a couple; not a school valued couple, but a duo nonetheless. She filled him with more excitement, and proved even more his motto of that even in the worse situations, great good can shine through if you just know where to look.
Soft, seafoam eyes traveled up and down the cases of books, landing on a table with two girls sitting and chatting with one another. The older one was, of course, not familiar to him, but with closer inspection, the frizzy blonde hair beside her was unmistakable. It was Lindsey, his newly found girlfriend, who sat discussing an unknown topic with…a Slytherin? One would think that a girl so kind and friendly, wouldn’t be putting herself in a position where she had to talk with one of the more hellish Houses in all of Hogwarts. But Marcel was not one to judge, and so, closing his blue-pinned robe around him, he marched toward the table and sat down across from Lindsey.
Pardon me…hello Lindsey.
Smiling, a small blush formed on his cheeks, which he hid by looking up at the high ceiling. It was chromed to perfection, with a mystique, old look to it; even though it would have continual maintenance by someone. Marcel looked to the other girl with a nod of the head as a brief hello. If Lindsey liked her, she was just fine in his book.

A newcomer joined them at their table and Pandora instantly stopped her sentence. She'd revealed more to Lindsey than she would have any other person. Pandora didn't talk much of home because that usually lead to thoughts about boarding school which was something she'd rather forget than remember. She'd never been accustomed to pain so the pain she'd felt all was tied back to boarding school. Not something fun to remember.
Pandora looked over the new boy and saw the badge of Ravenclaw on his robe. She nodded and said, "Hello."
Granted she was in Slytherin, she wouldn't snap at the boy. Her Slytherin undertones were something Pandora tried to hide desperately. She'd hope that this young man wouldn't react the same to her; she hoped he'd give her a chance. He looked young enough to be in the lower grades, hopefully he hadn't been corrupt enough yet to judge every person by their house.
Pandora saw that he had not looked at them at first, and she'd wondered why. Someone with a crush on Lindsey? Something told her he'd wanted to be by her but was slightly embarrassed or shy. How cute, young love, she thought. Aww... maybe they'll end up together. This made her thoughts wander over to Bryan and she instantly went on the defensive to get them out of her head.
"How're you?" she asked, her strategy of getting someone out of her head.

Her mind wondered to her home. A small farm house with a garden out front. A little ways away from the house was a huge barn and you could hear horses in the paddock and pastures. The trees surrounded the poperty and deers and animals were almost everywhere. Sun or Rain it was almost happy. They land was green with a large creek in the middle of the pasture. It was big for a creek, It was big enought for a swim.
She spoke before her boyfriend came. "I came from Scotland, My parents died so I lived with my grandparent. They own alittle blue farm house with a garden out front. Then not far away from the house less then 100 feet is a huge barn. It is big enought to hold 15 horses but one 5 horses are in it, and 2 cows for milk and plenty of chickens. I have a black Arabian Stallion who I take riding with me in the pasture and swim with in a small creek. He normally just lays they and I swim." She took a breath and then looked around. "I never went to School, I was always home schoolded."
Her eyes wondered around the library and they fell over a cute face. She smiled and got up. "Escuse me one second, Pandora" She said getting up and going towards the Ravenclaw. She whispered in his ears to come over with her. "Pandora this is Marcel, and Marcel this is Pandora" She said nicely to both of them. "We were just talking about homes" She said to him. She looked at Pandora after setting down in her chair. She looked at Pandora. She had a good friend now, But how would they manage to be friends with the Slytherins breathing down her neck. That was the worse thing about the school the kids were seprated by a house.
Her mind wondered to her two friends. One she had just met and it was good they had met and then one she knew from sorting. One she had fallin in love with. Her heart pounded as they meet for the first time. She had fallen head over heels for him. Soon after they had become a couple who loved each other dearly and always would. She touched his hand under the table and looked at Pandora, wondering what they would talk about. Homes or Life

Fidgeting wasn't easy for him to do, even in the more dredgy type of moments. But alas, he found something to look at; a mid-year student rummaging around in a collect of wicken books. She was very hyperactive, looking as if someone was forcing her to run a marathon and finding the correct book all in the exact same time. Marcel like an inquisitive look elapse onto his face, as the girl and Lindsey continued talking. But then the Gryffindor girl stood up, guiding him around the edge of the table and over to the place where they sat. He felt a twinge of nervousness, but rubbed it off. The Slytherin's name was Pandora...nice name.
Well then, hello, Pandora.
He nodded, bringing his hand to his chest and making a small head nod before replacing his hands down by his side. Lindsey had introduced them, and now seemed wanting enough for a good conversation to start up. The Ravenclaw sat up straight, tugging on his cloak with his right hand to soften the tension, while going on with his speaking.
If I may say, I didn't think that I would meet a nicer pair, than you two. Even though I don't know much about you, Pandora, you seem kind enough in Lindsey's eyes, and I think thats what matters. Personally, most people are just fine with me as long as they don't try to act all crazed with-
Marcel stopped mid-sentence, as the sensation of skin on skin touch vibrated through his veins. A hand...Lindsey's hand. Inside his head, he sighed relief, but outside, he continued on with his sayings.
-with, power and things. Its all a little dramatic.
He chuckled, rolling his eyes back to the girl that had finally checked her book out with the pygmy and continued on her way. A few teachers came in and out, but the Library was beginning to empty as nighttime was soon to be approaching, within the next few hours. Many students liked to catch the last few rays of sun, before it went down for good until tomorrow. The smoothness of Lindsey's palm still remained on his, and Marcel grasped it gently. He rolled his fingers around the tips and swirled one finger within her palm. All of this, before finally intertwining their fingers, and allowing them to rest on his lap. She was sweet, so much alike to himself; it was destined that he would find them. They may only be 11...but even young love grew vibrant, when maturity stood stock still between them. [X.X Sucks, but it must do for now...]

She watched as many kids came in and out. Some seemed to race threw the library while other seemed to just walk with a bit of laziness. People wanted to get what they needed and leave. Lindsey loved this place though it was always quiet and that kind of stuff. She loved it to be quiet. She looked as kids stayed around and talked and other just set by the windows reading there books with pleasure. Some teachers talked queitly anf read a book or two. She then saw one person hurry out. They must of wanted out quickly.
She felt gliding of fingers over hers and she smiled. She looked at Marcel and then to Pandora. Friends never ended and she loved that. No matter how many fights they always came threw. No matter if you want to die, their was always a friends who said no, you have to many people who love you, and if you die now you will hurt many. She hated to put it that way but it was true and she never though of anything wrong.
She let her hand relax in his. She looked out the window and saw it was getting dark. Oh man they had been there for a while. She smiled and looked at Pandora. She then spoke and let her lyrics ring to her softly. "It is getting late and the library will close soon, I guess we should head out and go to our rooms. Marcel, will you walk with me, like you always do, And I will see you later Pandora, To bad we don't have any classes together." She said looking at her with a small smile.
People hurried out and then the Librarian came over to the four, and gave a look that said almost closing time. Lindsey smiled and nodded. She looked as the librarian left. She looked at Marcel and then to Pandora. "Before we leave, What kind of pet do you have, I always like to figure what the owner has in common with the pet" She said sweetly and looked at them. She then notice the lady clear her throut and she smile. "Yea Ma'am" She got up and took in a slow breath of air. "I will be right back" She went to the desk to and checked out the book and then rejoined her love one and good friend.
Her mind went to the book she had. She was going to learn cool charms. She looked around and saw no but them in the library. She smiled and saw some of the hallway torches on. She looked at the time and it was 6:30 so it was close to night fall, and the library would close in a few minites.
