Catherine walked from her classroom and headed for the Teacher's Dorms, which were located some floors below her. As it was Saturday, and a nice one at that, the students milled around the lawns outside, taking the time and certainly not doing homework.....except for the Ravenclaws, perhaps. But even the smartest house at Hogwarts seemed to have decided they needed a much deserved break. She sighed some and looked around a bit as she headed for the room she slept in, intending to change out of her nicer clothes that she wore to teach into something more casual, as she thought she might go buy a drink at The Three Broomsticks. Some fellow teachers might also be there, and it would be a nice opprotunity to get to know each other.

She entered the small room and crossed to her wardrobe, peeling off her skirt and shirt before grabbing a pair of worn jeans and a green t-shirt. She slipped her feet into a pair of black high tops, she would surely resemble a student now. She was perhaps the youngest teacher here, and, when she wasn't wearing the nice clothes she wore for teaching, she dressed almost like a seveth year Slytherin might, for that was what shee had once been. She looked around, fetched an elastic hair tie from the tiny dresser, and secured her hair back into a ponytail with it. She glanced in the mirror, grabbed a tube of mascara, and swiped at her lashes with that. Satisfied, she moved off, grabbing her wand as she went, and exited the room.

She headed down the stairs and took a side exit from the castle, as it would be easier to get through the crowds there. She walked carefully across the lawns, getting the ocassional greeting from a student that somehow recognized her with her hair up and the jeans and mascara on. She smiled and said her hellos to them, stopping to have a concersation with one student, who was looking to have great potential, before she moved on. She neared the exit that led from the grounds to Hogsmeadea and walked quicker, soon leaving the castle and its scenery behind for the scenery of this quaint village. As a student, she had always loved the trips they took here, and had loved going in each and every shop.

She looked around her, taking in the familiar sights and sounds, it hadn't changed much since she had been here. Same stores, same vendors, and the kids well...they looked as happy as they ever had when she was in school. She smiled, thinking of how she had always cherished this break in the school week, had always been glad when there was a group of her friends going so that she could tag along as well. She loved it here, she just couldn't describe how much. She entered the cheery pub and neared the bar area, taking in the smiling faces all around her once more. She ordered a fairly weak drink, though it did have a little something in it, and took up a table towards the door. She observed the people coming in, looking for fellow professors.

It was a nice day, with birds flying around and the willow tree attacking anything that came to it. Kids ran around the grounds flirting, talking, some kissing, and hugging. They all acted so sweet other people, of course some got into fight in private areas and teachers did not know. Some kids acted like sweet angels and did homework, but they were writing notes instead. They were actting like such kids, and no one was stopping them. They just talked, flirted, fought and who knows what. They moved away as people walked down the hills and some of the kids were shotting magic at birds who flew in the skys.

Daniel grabbed some blue jeans, a white shirt, and a blue button up shirt. He put it on and rubbed his hand threw his buzz cut head. He gave a smile and showed two sets of white teeth. He looked outside and the wind was blowing but he did not care about that, no he cared about the kids who shot the birds. He put on a cowboy hat and headed outside. "HEY, Stop that, what did they ever do to you, next time i see that you will be looking at the walls of detention" They ran off and the birds went into the forest. He walked up the hills and toward the small village outside of town.

Daniel heard the word duck and he turned around to see a ball which he caught in his hand. The kids looked at him. He gave them a smile and threw it back. "Be careful kids, don't kill someone" He said and headed on to the gates. He waved to a few girls who looked at him with gogo eyes. He gave them a smile and they all went to whispering. He chuckled and headed into the village, nodding a hello to everyone he saw and then heading into the three broomsticks.

He looked around and saw a few teachers and then one caught his eye. He had heard of her once or twice. Her came was Catherine and she was the most beautiful thing in the world to him. She was one of the youngest people teaching he was only twenty-two. He walked to the bar and got a little somethin with alittle somethin in it. He walked over and looked at her. "May I set here, miss" He asked giving a smile that show two set of white teeth. He looked at her and held in his hand his drink. He was going to have his own time today.

She was silently studying it was so in her nature to be an observer that she didn't even realize she was doing it sometimes. Just quiet, drifting off into nothingness and just....well, daydreaming like a teenager again. What some people liked about Cat was that she never seemed to get older. She always had that childish spark in her eyes, that care-free nature and fun loving spirit that was so...Cat.

She glanced up when she heard a voice above her, a slightly fmailiar but not one she heard every day. She looked around until she spotted the person who had posed the question, and a smile played across her features as she took in his form. He was a teacher, much like herself, up at Hogwarts. She believed he taught Care of Magical Creatures, though she may be mistaken on that fact. If she recalled everything correctly, he was near her age as well, making him one of the younger teachers himself.

"I don't see why not." she said in answer, waving her hand and gesturing towards the seat beside her. She pushed some more of the brown, long hair, away from her blue eyes as to get a better look at him. She hadn't ever really taken a good look at any of the male teachers around here, as there seemed to be more female then male these days, but he was certainly one of the nicer looking ones....certainly worth a conversation over a drink. She smiled, choosing her words carefully.

"You're...wait..don't tell me. Professor Todd, right? Daniel...if I recall correctly." she said, half turning in her seat so she was sort of facing him now. "I'm Catherine Spyro. But you can just call me Cat..." she had began rambling and she cursed herself mentally, as that whole aspect of her person was the least appealing by far. She sighed some and twirled the emerald ring around her middle finger on her left hand, she had worn that ring, a gift from her now passed father, for a long time.

He saw a spark of teen ager in her, she seemed not to have grown up. He set down and put his drink to his right. He looked at the place he was in and saw many people in here, he saw some of the people who lived here and also some of the teachers. He looked at her, she was very pretty and he did not care much for any of the teachers, he was very solo. He did not like to be around alot of people on days and he was happy that they were aways from the crowd. He looked at her again and gave a smile.

"That is right, It is nice to meet you Cat, You did not say the class though, I have heard you teach Divination, never liked it much, my teacher was weather boring, I hope you are not" He said, he had a young voice, that most of people wanted. As he moved his hand you could see a burned area on his arm. He had on a short slive shirt and his hat was taken off as he was inside. He normally had on a brown leather jacket but today it was a nice day and he needed a nice little tan.

His blue eyes looked over at her after taking a drink. He gave a smile and looked at her, "You have a great personality, You are also very pretty" He said placing his drink down and putting his hand on the table. He looked at her, his buzz cut head showing he was a true blonde. He brushed his head and looked at her. He heard the wind outside and looked out to see a flower pot being attack by a bird who had a nest in it. He gave a smile and just looked back at Cat.

The birds flew and Daniel just set there, he knew the kids back at the castle were shotting the birds again and at the moment he did not care, but if he saw it again they would be in detention. He had made that clear last time he saw them. He rubbed the back of his neck and quietly popped it. He had a creak in his neck and he hated it. He then popped his back quietly with one small movement and looked back at Cat. He took another drink and placed it back down.
