ABOUT THE CHARACTER Name: Abbie Chalk Age: 16 Gender: Female Year: 6th Year Celebrity: Natalie Portman
Facial Properties: Still being quite young, Abbie appears to be quite the childish girl. Her eyes are a calm color of brown and are rather accented by her naturally long eyelashes. Abbie has rosy cheeks that seem to reflect her also rosy, and puffy, lips. To the right side of her face is a tiny freckle just below her hanging strand of hair. Apart from her bangs, Abbie's hair is rather curly obtaining slight waves running down the back of her hairline. With little effort, it can be straightened in an instant, but she prefers to not do that too often. Physique: Abbie was quite lucky to receive the genes that she has because they benefited her tremendously. Her body was very slender and lady-like without any work of her. She tends to eat like a little pig, but the gaining calories do not effect her one bit. Abbie has very small feet and hands which sometimes shake involuntary, but it does not faze her one bit and the shaking is not too noticeable.
Personality: This Hufflepuff girl defiantly owns up to the title of her house. Her bubbly personality radiates all that it means to be original. With even a second glance, Abbie has the confidence to leave her bedroom fully dressed without worrying whether she looks bad. Most days, she tends to have possibly two or three hairs out of place which, when she is told so, she carelessly laughs and pushes them into their proper places. She does not have an extra skip to her walk, but defiantly has a nice little strut that obnoxiously has the power to spread happiness among others.
Abbie's trust is easily gained by all for she has a knack for seeing good in most people. Her loyalty is something that would most likely want to be kept for it is something not even the highest number of Galleons can buy. Secrets are always kept and she has a strict code between herself in which she promises not to talk about any person behind their back. But, still being the classic teenage female, she is quite sensitive. Once her trust is lost, it is terribly hard to get back. Although she does not give the cold shoulder, Abbie has a certain gift for making others feel bad. It is not commonly used, even among her few enemies, but it tends to work for her rather well.
Among schoolwork, Miss Chalk is just like any other students. She tries to pass her classes to the best of her ability and studies as often as she can. Her best subject is Charms, in which her wand is gifted in, and she finds much enjoyment in the class itself. Although, her true passion runs within the Pitch down by the lake. Oh, quidditch is her number one love. The pure adrenaline that runs through her body while she is floating among her broom is pure joy. Whenever a tough day occurs, Abbie quickly runs up to her dormitory, grabs her broomstick and immediately is seen rushing through the corridors in a frantic hurry to the Quidditch Pitch.
When Abbie is most stressed is around the least stressful object a person can imagine- stairs. She has a huge fear of staircases and it is unknown as to why. As a first year, she required to have her brother escort her from class to class. During her third year, she was dared to go to the staircase at the end of the library's corridor and make as much noise as possible. After doing so, she swears that the stairs are steeper than they used to be before that incident. When Abbie walks up and down stairs, she has a habit of keeping one of her hands firmly on the wall for a supporting feeling.
When meeting new people, Abbie attempts to put a great effort in getting to know them as well as she can (she was shy in her first year and used to have trouble meeting people). She tries to wave at them in the hallway on her way to class or even offer to study with them even if they are not in any classes together. With her hectic schedule ranging from Quidditch, Studying and trying to make new friends on a day-to-day basis, Abbie has hardly any time for relationships. Like most others, she does fancy a boy from time to time and has a tendency to stare at them constantly, but she has never successfully had a relationship. Her friends claim that it is because of her constant staring- it makes her seem like she belongs in Azkaban.
Apart from her obvious crush troubles, Abbie continues keeping on the bright side of things. She looks forward a good butter biscuit in the morning with a side of Apple Juice and a wonderful dinner that treats her full of the most Pea Soup she can stomach. She's just another Hufflepuff girl.

History: Abbie descended from a pure-blooded family with very good manners. They enjoy a nice game of Wizard Chess and on their large family gatherings, they have a friendly match of Quidditch between families. Every major holiday is spent cuddled in the den of the Chalk's Victorian house telling old family tales of embarrassment or joy told almost every year. But, the laughs would never fade. Abbie had at least one family member from each house- even Slytherin. Although, Uncle Spike was one of the few sour wizards in her family, he could smile from time to time and enjoy the gatherings just as much as any of the others.
Abbie grew up in the outskirts of London where the hills were large and the stars beamed in through her window at night. A creek was only a little ways from her home and she would journey down there with her brother Jack for hours at a time. Their mother had a rather unique spell that would summon them home whenever she wished. She claimed to have invented the enchantment herself, but Jack constantly told Abbie that it was just a simple spell and he could perform it if he wanted to. Being the loyal sister that she was, Abbie would nod her head and giggle as if confirming his confident ego.
As their childhood continued on and the summers past, it was no surprise that Jack finally received his letter to Hogwarts. Abbie was congratulatory and even helped him pack. After Jack had boarded the Hogwarts Express on September 1st, Abbie immediately felt lonely. She spent her muggle-filled school days alone while she was forced to lie about where Jack's whereabouts were to the classmates. She was to tell them that he was now attending a newer private school in which the muggle boys all scoffed and complained at his sudden leave over the summer. Abbie would rush home each day and await for the owl post to deliver yet another letter from him. The first few explained how he was sorted into Gryffindor (which made Abbie's most squeal for joy) and how life at Hogwarts was so different. Abbie wrote back to him each time and Jack returned during Christmas holidays for two years, spending every waking moment with his little sister.
After two years passed, Abbie was ecstatic to find an owl deliver her the long awaited letter on a Sunday morning after her birthday. She pulled back the covers of her bed, leaped downstairs, and practically shoved the letter into her father's face. He chuckled and took her and Jack to Diagon Alley the next day for their supplies. While they were there, Abbie also received a tiny present from her mother- a new broomstick.
Throughout the next few years at Hogwarts, Abbie attended her classes, sneaked into the Ravenclaw common room to see her brother and became rather talented at Quidditch. She was a chaser for the Hufflepuff team during her 2nd year after being one of the most talented people who tried out for the team. She continued as a chaser up until her 4th year in which she moved to the seeker position. The next year, her 5th year, she decided to try out the keeper position considering that the team captain graduated and it has became her favorite position to play.
The summer after, Jack left Hogwarts and moved to Ireland to study the ogres in the hidden swamps. Abbie was disappointed, but it was exactly as it had been six years previously, he promised to return during Christmas and during most of the summer. Abbie now enters her 6th year without her one best friend- Jack. But, with her spirits raised from receiving the position of Quidditch Captain for Hufflepuff, she is ready to overcome any obstacle in her way.
