ABOUT THE CHARACTER Name: Jude Morte Age: 17 Gender: male Year: seventh. Celebrity: Robert Pattinson
Facial Properties:
Jude has very strong facial features. He has a very defined jaw and very sharp strong lines that make up the frame of his face. It almost makes him look even more intimidating than he already is. Jude has brilliant blue-green eyes (though they're a tad bit more on the green side) that stand out remarkably. They're probably the first things that anyone would notice when first seeing him up close. Aside from his eyes, the next most noticeable feature about him would be his large pouty lips. On the down side, however, when he smiles or laughs his mouth does appear rather large and wide. Jude has fair hair, but it's more of a dirty blonde. The sunlight makes it a little lighter shade of blonde, and in the winter it’s more towards a light brown color. His hair on the longer side and always seems to be disheveled. It tends to have that ‘I-just-finished-quidditch-practice’ look.
Physique:
Jude has a very over powering physical appearance (and presence for that matter). He stands at a towering six foot two. His shoulders are wide and broad, and he's quite built. Jude has a regular appetite, but he also exercises and plays a lot of quidditch that he can credit his fit body to. His complexion is somewhere between pale and tan and it doesn't vary too often, unless he spends a large amount of time in the sun. In which case he appears a rather golden tan color. Jude also has large hands and thin spindly fingers. His fingernails are probably one of the aspects that Jude greatly dislikes about himself. He has a terrible habit of biting his nails, so they're always crooked and uneven looking. Jude has a rather plain wardrobe. Aside from wearing school robes all the time, he simply wears jeans and a t-shirt.
Personality:
Jude isn’t particularly ‘original’ or ‘unique’ in any way. He is a typical example of the ‘Slytherin behavior’. Almost everything about Jude radiates evil, cruelty, and mercilessness. He makes himself feel better and more powerful by belittling and bullying others. Jude believes that he’s a confident guy, and he’s not afraid to show it either. Jude doesn’t care how many people he has to step on to accomplish his goals. In his mind, he looks out for number one; himself. He doesn’t really have much of a conscience and it’s pretty obvious by the way he carelessly treats others for his own benefits.
He’ll do whatever he has to, to win or be the best at something. Any time he discovers a new talent, Jude becomes obsessed with it, and tries to prefect it better than any one else. He always seems to have a mindset where he needs to be the best and most controlling. Which is where his over riding ambition comes in. He always wants to be at the top of his game, and have others do his less important bidding for him. Jude’s ambition often clouds his ability to think about consequences and repercussions. He’s spontaneous and is inclined to act rashly on most occasions. Jude is a bit of a dare devil in that sense. He has the incapability of thinking things through completely. He rushes things, and is always too eager to waste any time. He’s impatient and demanding. All these qualities make Jude quite destructive, but he’s yet to fall apart. And that’s not even the worst of it.
Lying, back stabbing, cheating, and scamming are all nonexistent… In his conscience, that is. Jude has a knack for screwing people over. When it comes to school, Jude doesn’t exactly shine. While in other elements of his life he’s always convinced he’s going to be the best, in school he knows he’s doomed for failure. He scrapes by with average grades and doesn’t really try to change anything about that either. He knows where his strengths are, and school simply isn’t one of them. This sort of disappointment forces Jude to cheat and lie his way through homework and tests. He always picks on the ‘smart kid’ in class to do everything for him, while he insists he won’t hex the poor kid in to oblivion, or drive his fist through their face. Threatening people has always been a second nature to Jude, but it does come with the down side of always getting sent to the Headmaster’s office and getting detention. However, like everything in Jude’s life he acts first and thinks later.
Jude is also quite the party animal. It probably comes with such an impulsive behavior. He’ll get drunk on fire whiskey without a care in the world and doesn’t even bother to consider the hang over he’ll probably have the next day. Because of his partying, wild, behavior it’s pretty much impossible for Jude to keep any kind of relationship with the opposite sex. There’s a new girl that he’s snogging every week. It’s also because of his personality. Girls are attracted to him, but they’d never stick around long enough to find out first hand of what a jerk he really is. Around school he has quite the reputation of being a jackass, but that doesn’t trouble him the least bit.

History:
Jude Morte grew up in London, England with his mother and father; Chloe and James Morte. He’s an only child, and has been a spoiled brat since birth. The Morte family is pureblood, and has been pureblood for hundreds of generations. Naturally, like their entire family tree, the Mortes have a prejudice towards muggle born wizards and witches. They believe that they shouldn’t be considered ‘real’ wizards and witches. It is a terrible discrimination to have, but it has followed the Morte family for years and years.
Growing up, Jude never had to worry about not getting anything he wanted because his parents doted upon him more than they should have. His father claims to work at the Ministry in the Department of Magical Law Enforcement, but anyone who knows what’s what would know that James is one of Voldemort’s most loyal and trusted followers. Like discrimination against mudbloods, the tradition of being a death eater is also something that’s been carried out under the Morte name.
Unfortunately, Jude has known since he was very young and it’s been drilled in to his brain that he’s to follow in those footsteps as well. Despite the fact that most people would think it’d be a dream come true for Jude to be a death eater, the truth is quite the contrary. Jude would never tell his parents, but he has no desire to work for the Dark Lord. He is a firm believer in making your own success and settling for nothing less, so working for someone above him is not very appealing in Jude’s mind. He keeps that hidden from everyone though.
Growing up, Jude was always the kid causing trouble and disturbing the peace. He was responsible for just about every ruckus, and it didn’t bother him to hurt other people’s feelings. Jude was impatient to get his acceptance letter to Hogwarts. He didn’t understand why he had to wait until he was eleven, and he wanted to go immediately after he learned what it was. Soon enough, however, his letter came and young Jude was off to Hogwarts. As a first year, Jude resorted mostly to playing pranks on other students for his own amusement, until in second year when he found his true calling. Jude had never played quidditch other than tossing a quaffle back and forth with his dad outside on the old house brooms, but when he discovered the rush of it all he became fixated with the sport. Furthermore, he had quite the talent for the Keeper position. Stopping people from trying to do something; there was no position more fitting. His father noticed Jude’s talent. James forced him to become the best that he could possibly be. He ridiculed Jude’s every move and constantly forced him to do things over and practice harder. Thanks to the pressure constantly put on him by his father, Jude has become quite an exceptional addition to the team. That is, when he’s not having random outbursts and cussing out the other team.
Jude puts up a barrier of this tough guy persona, but under it all he’s just a simple guy. If it weren’t for the spoiled and pressuring environment he was brought up in, he may have even been a Gryffindor, but there’s no chance of anything like that now. He’s already been brainwashed in to a lean, mean, winning machine that only cares about himself. There’s yet to be a someone to really see Jude for who he truly is under all the barriers he puts up; a kid who’s just trying to pass his classes and have some fun playing quidditch. The real him may be lost forever, but who’s to know for sure?
