ABOUT THE CHARACTER Name: Franklin "Frank" Orrin Age: 28 Gender: Male Class: History of Magic Celebrity: John Cusack
Facial Properties: Everybody has their 'default' face. Everybody has the true expression that they appear to wear when nothing is happening. Everybody carries that expression when either they are bored or have clearly no other emotion at that time. Frank's default face is that of anger. It is odd how he could be cursed with such a terrible default, but it was not his choice. When he is not happy nor any other emotion, he just sits there with his angry face looking among others. He has various wrinkles that show signs of his obvious aging. With the stress of being a teacher, he seems to be have more than most wizards his own age. Frank dislikes keeping up with his black hair. In order to keep it tamed, he simply runs his fingers through it from time to time and lets it flop wherever it feels like going. When he was younger, his parents attempted to put a hex on his hair so that it would not be so unruly, but instead made it so that his hair would not longer grow past it's current length. Frank has forever loved his parents for their embarrassing misuse of magic even though they regret the incident. Physique: Frank eats what he wants and when he wants it. His loves his chicken and has the sad habit of eating too much when it is placed in front of him. With wine he tends to do the same which gives him his slight belly. It is nothing too noticeable through his clothing, but it is definitely there. The most prominent feature of his body are his arms. For some reason or another, they are naturally bulky.
Personality: Believe it or not, Frank is quite the comedian. He loves making silly faces when he has nothing better to do or when he is forced into an awkward situations. His humor is rather dry and usually consist of him taking friendly shots at other wizards. He tries to not make them too offensive for he tries to avoid confrontation with others. When he is faced with such an event, he deals with it like an adult by listening to what the other person has to say then he puts in his own opinion. Being the teacher that he is, his point of the argument is usually backed up by various facts and he has the tendency to win most debates.
Frank is a very practical person. He loves to read novels and finds an odd joy in working. While in his office, he may be surrounded by various folders and books as he researches random topics for no reason at all. When he is bored, Frank loves devoting time to discovering new things. He likes interacting with most of the residents at Hogwarts and has a close connection to some of his students. He enjoys joking around with them during class and, while they do some of their work, he throws paper balls at them for no reason at all. Yet, outside of the classroom, he will talk to them like adults and show them no special attention.
Orrin is a very un-organized person. His classroom is like a train wreck. Papers are scattered everywhere and even the desks seem to be out of line. The floors look like they haven't been cleaned in ages, but he claims to clean them at the end of each semester. The students digress. "He tells us to throw our papers on the floor when we hate our own ideas," they say. Frank laughingly admits to their statement.
The professor generally does not fear most things in the world. Once he was caught roaming the Forbidden Forest by a fellow teacher in which he just smiled and headed back to the castle. He takes interest in the unknown and enjoys discovering everything the universe has to offer. But, he would not be human if he did not fear something (even though he impressively tells everybody else that he is "invincible" in a joking manner). Frank, oddly enough, dislikes rabbits. In reality, he isn't much of an animal person anyway, but rabbits truly give him nightmares.
During the summer, Frank spends most of his time taking walks by the water near his lake-side home. He attends many concerts and he is rather engulfed in music during the holidays. He is not involved in many sports and has never been much of a Quidditch fan. If he can, he tries to escape from the matches at Hogwarts. The last thing he would do is watch Quidditch during his own free time.

History: Frank was born in a boat one later than he was due. His mother, a squibb, had not bothered to visit a hospital and decided to instead go on a muggle cruise. Thankfully, a doctor was present when he was born. Being the kind muggle that he was, the doctor helped Frank's mother raise him during the rest of the duration of the cruise. And, being the careless witch that she was, Frank's mother married him.
As a child, Frank was like any other kid. His father was a wealthy wizard from Scotland and his mother was a squibb from France. They split up before Frank was even born, but unfortunately Frank's mother was already pregnant with their child. After being born, he was sent to live with his father for the time being. Frank's mother got married when he was two, so he visited the newlyweds during Thanksgiving and Easter and various weekends. It didn't work as well as they had planned, so Frank stopped visiting them when he was six.
Frank showed no signs of early magic which made his father very worried, but was eventually accepted to Hogwarts. He arrived with no friends at all save for his father, but gained some once he was valiantly sorted into Gryffindor. His marks were usually high among his peers and he had always been interested in the dark arts as well as history. Although, he lacked in the romantic aspect of teenage life. He could not be less interested in girls. He had many friends that were females (and a good bit of them liked him). Yet, he never liked them. That was, until his seventh year.
In his seventh year, he met a fifth year in which he had never talked to before. Frank started talking to her casually and eventually they began to develop mutual feelings. They started to date near the end of the year and kept dating until the end of her sixth year. From there, they started having various fights about stupid situations. But, Frank never stopped liking her. After she graduated, they began an off and on again relationship before finally heading to the altar.
Frank got a job in the ministry as a receptionist after leaving Hogwarts. He stayed there for four years before finally transferring to the Department of Magical Transportation. After serving under his superiors for two years, he was promoted to the head of his department. Matters at home were not going as good as they were at home, though. Frank and his wife were fighting once more. Eventually she filed for divorce and he reluctantly agreed.
After they split up, he returned to his father's house and lived there for a year before buying his own home out in Western Wales. When traveling to work soon became a problem, he quit the ministry job and immediately headed to Hogwarts for a job.
Resume: Frank worked for four years as a receptionist for the Ministry of Magic and only received three complaints. All were about his organization skills and how "inexperienced" he seemed to be in that area. He was promoted to the Department of Magical Transportation and soon to the head of that department after only two years. His superiors say he is very dependable and will get the work done. "It was a loss to see him leave," says fellow co-worker Byron.
